Aerial Roof & Chimney Inspections
Some damp problems start where no one can see. A slipped tile, cracked flashing around the chimney or a blocked gutter can let water in for months, while the only sign inside is a damp patch slowly spreading across a ceiling or wall. Getting up there to look usually means ladders or scaffolding, and the cost and hassle put people off. Our drone property services in Swindon inspect roofs, chimneys, gutters and high walls safely from the air.
Tiles and slates, the ridge line and any slipped, cracked or missing pieces.
Chimney pots, flashing and pointing, where leaks into the rooms below often start.
Blockages, cracks and joints that spill water down the wall instead of draining it away.
Where roof slopes meet, and where a roof joins a wall or an extension.
Render and brickwork at height, including cracks that let driving rain through.
Close views of the roof, chimney and gutters that you can keep and look at yourself.
We talk you through what the images show and which defects matter most.
Photos make it easy to show a tradesperson exactly what needs repair, and where.
Booked with a damp survey, the drone findings form part of the same visit and the same clear advice.
Call 07738 572899 or send us a message. Tell us what you have noticed inside, such as where the damp shows.
The inspection is carried out from the ground, safely and without ladders or scaffolding. Flights need suitable weather, so if conditions are poor on the day we will rearrange the visit.
We go through the photos and video together and explain what they show in plain English.
With the defect identified, you can arrange the repair with confidence, or ask us about a fuller damp investigation inside.
Nobody climbs on your roof, so fragile tiles and slates are not damaged by the inspection itself.
No scaffolding hire, no waiting for it to be built and taken down again.
The drone sees the whole roof, including the slopes and corners you cannot see from the street.
Photos and video replace guesswork, for you and for anyone quoting to repair the problem.
We are looking for where water gets in, because that is our trade. The flight serves the diagnosis, not the other way round.
The cost depends on the size and height of the property and what needs checking. A single chimney and gutter check is a smaller job than a full roof survey of a large house, and a drone check added to a damp survey visit is priced as part of that visit.
There is no fixed price list, because every property is different. Call us or send a message and we will give you a firm quote before we visit. There is no obligation.
The drone is one of our inspection tools. Our job is finding where water gets in and what it is doing to your property.
We do not carry out roofing repairs, so our findings are honest. If the roof is sound, we will tell you.

Learn moreThe drone photographs and films your roof coverings, ridge, chimney, gutters and high walls from the air. We then go through the images with you and explain any defects we find, such as slipped tiles, damaged flashing or blocked gutters, in plain English.
No. The whole point of the drone survey is that the inspection happens from the air, so there are no ladders against your walls and no scaffolding to arrange. If a repair is needed afterwards, your roofer will decide what access that repair needs.
Often, yes. Many damp patches inside start with a roof, chimney or gutter defect outside, and the drone shows that defect clearly. Sometimes the cause sits elsewhere, such as a plumbing leak or condensation. If the images do not explain your damp, we will tell you honestly and can advise on a damp and water investigation inside the property.
Drone flights need suitable weather. High wind or heavy rain can make a flight unsafe or the images unclear. If conditions are poor, we will rearrange your visit for the next suitable slot rather than give you poor quality images.
It depends on the size and height of the property and how much of the roof needs checking. Call 07738 572899 and we will give you a firm quote before we visit, with no obligation. If you are booking a damp survey as well, tell us and we will price the drone check as part of the same visit.
Yes. Damp and timber surveys are often combined with a drone roof check on the same visit where it makes sense, especially when the damp is upstairs or near a chimney. Mention everything you are worried about when you book, so we allow enough time.
You receive the aerial photos and video from the flight, and a plain English explanation of the findings. You can pass the images to a roofer or builder to quote for any repair, and if the inspection was part of a damp survey, the findings sit alongside your survey advice.
